Fleet Technologies has signed a partnership with Credence ID to deploy Credence One mobile biometric ID’s to over 1000 examination locations throughout Nigeria to help verify students before they sit for state-administered exams.
The solution aims to provide a quick and easier way of confirming the identity of students to eliminate imposters in and during examinations and increase the credibility of the student’s qualifications in the end.
In a statement, Bruce Hanson, president and CEO of Credence ID said: “We are very pleased to have been selected by Fleet Technologies to partner on this important educational service. The identity of an exam-taker is crucial to the ongoing integrity of these tests and the associated credentials that go along with passing of an exam.”
Credence ID’s CredenceOne Android-based devices are used by banks and various institutions to stop identity theft by use of securely encrypted biometric data. Firms use the cards to read users fingerprints to identify them. The devices combine card reading, biometrics and addd communications features.
