Stock market investment app Abacus has launches its Abacus Investment Academy to make it simple for anyone to understand stock markets and invest in them and boast its user recruitment via offline-to-online initiatives such as this academy and events.
The firm announced it had partnered with Strathmore University for the modular based training course in financial markets for both individuals with either finance and non-finance backgrounds.
“Over time we have come to understand our users and the majority of people with great interest in investing in the stock market usually don’t have the technical knowledge of what the stock market is all about and how to make sound investment,” announced the firm. “To this reason Abacus has come up with a Financial markets training program dubbed Abacus Investment Academy in partnership with Strathmore University. “
The investment academy has four main courses: Introduction to Investments, Stocks, Bonds and derivatives and it’s just Ksh 25,000 for the 8 weeks spread over Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Apart from Strathmore University, Abacus is also working with professional stock brokers and analysts to teach learners during this 8 weeks. There will also be an Introductory class beginning in May for only KSHs. 10,000 if one books before 29th April, 2016.
