The Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) has announced that Safaricom will be the title sponsor for the 2016 Kenya Blogs Awards, outmatching its rival Airtel which was last year’s title sponsor and had intent of sponsoring this year’s awards too.
This is not the first time that Safaricom has worked with BAKE in supporting the awards as they extended their sponsorship in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Airtel was last year’s title sponsor but took long to give its assurance to the association making it to look elsewhere.
Now in its sixth year, BAKE Awards honour outstanding blogs locally and involve individuals nominating blogs, voting for them and finaly a panel of judges stamp their blessings on the best in each category and qualify or disqualify any votes in case of anomalies.
This year’s online voting ends on the Mat 1 and the Kenyan Blog Awards will be held May 7 in Nairobi at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
TechMoran was declared the best tech blog in Kenya in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Kenya Blog Awards. Vote for your favourite blog here.
