Tress, a social community app founded in Ghana aims to help users to discover and share beautiful hairstyles to inspire their friends and family to stay trendy and take care of their hair with ease.
Founded by Priscilla Hazel and Casssandra Sarfo, Tress aims to connect women who are into trendy hairstyles to give them to share information amongest themselves and their friends on the best types of haristyles depending on ocassion or season of the year banking on the fact that women change their hairstyles often,
“Whether they have natural, relaxed, texlaxed or dreads, women are always on the lookout for new and beautiful hairstyle inspiration. Equally important to many ladies is information about a preferred hairstyle. Information such as the name and location of the salon that had the hair done, the name of the hair-piece/extension or hair-product used on the hair and also the cost of having the hairstyle done at the salon,” the team write on their website.
Tress aims to reduce the humiliation some women go through asking strangers detailed questions about their hairstyles or stalking social media accounts on social media to know what is trendy.
“Tress is a fun, simple and easy to use app that addresses the hairstyle needs of women. It is a social community mobile app for women to find hairstyle inspiration,” writes the firm.
Tress also gives women access to crucial information about each hairstyle, the name of the extension/weave used, name of hair-care product, name and location of salon /stylist and price range of the hairstyle among others. The app allows users to create a profile and upload their hairstyles just like on Instagram then share with their friends.
Users can follow one another, engage with them and react to their hairstyles and refer others for inspiration.
