Recently launched smartphone brand Zuri has launched four smartphone models in Kenya, in a bit to gain market share as Kenyans start looking for affordable but durable smartphones.
The Hong Kong based brand is working with DESPEC distributors to help it take its devices to the market promising buyers a 12-month warranty on all Zuri products and support from service centres across Kenya.
Vikash Shah, CEO at Zuri says the C46, C52 and S56 models come with unique and superior specifications such as efficient Android 5.1 platform, powered by multi-core processors – including an octa-core option – dual-sim capabilities, large screen sizes and high quality camera options, all packaged in a stylish exterior.  All Zuri devices support over-the-air firmware updates with consumers benefiting from a free 8GB micro SD card and two essential accessories: screen guard and protective cover.
“Our investment in after sales service, from Day One, demonstrates our commitment to deliver the best customer experience. In addition to a great product, we believe reliable service is essential to the long-term sustainable growth of Zuri brand in East Africa”, Mr. Shah said.
Part of the Amoli Group, Zuri was launched in 2014 to expressly focus on the needs of a growing class of newly-connected consumers, in both mature markets and developing economies, where Zuri’s combination of design, quality and value will have broad mainstream appeal.  Zuri smartphones first became available in Kenya earlier this year.
ZURI S56
Featuring a stunning 5.5-inch HD IPS display, the sophisticated S56 packs the power of a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor and boasts 16GB internal memory, a 13.0 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and dual SIM capability. The S56 supports Smart Gesture and Hot Knot. The smartphone features a long-life battery while still maintaining a super-thin form (only 8.1 mm thickness).
ZURI C52
With a 5.0-inch IPS display, the sleek C52 sports an ergonomic rubberized back cover that fits perfectly in the palm of the hand. Powered by a quad-core processor and featuring 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and expandable 32GB space, the smartphone runs the Android 5.1 operating system. The C52 has two integrated cameras: a 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera.
ZURI C46
A brilliant 4.5-inch FWVGA display, high performance quad-core processor, 8GB internal memory and 8.0 megapixel camera promise to deliver a rich experience to C46 users. Run by the Android 5.1 operating system, the smartphone is ergonomically designed to be gentle, smooth and responsive for one-hand operation.

“Our high quality designs and manufacturing excellence create products that offer a compelling price-performance proposition for users,” continued Vikash Shah. “This is the heart of our product development strategy – to provide superior, genuine components and better performance compared with other brands in the same price band.”
“Working with operators, retailers and resellers in East Africa, we are making real gains in the market by explaining the benefits that Zuri provides to consumers.” Shah added. “With Zuri, we say the brand was created with “you in mind” and the Zuri name literally puts “U” at the center.  It’s a clear, visible statement of the commitment we share with our customers, our partners and our community.”
