Founded by Guinean Ibrahima Soumano and Zimbabwean Takwana Tyaranini, Ozaremit is signing up mobile subscribers in 35 countries in Africa to put an end to the bulky and unhealthy airtime scratch cards.
Speaking to TechMoran, founder Soumano said, “We’ve just launched an international airtime remittance platform covering at leat 35 countries in Africa. At Ozaremit we make it easy for those living or working abroad to send instant mobile phone credit to their loved ones back home.”
Soumano says Ozaremit delivers credits directly to a recipient’s phone numbers so they do not need to visit a local reseller or type in any code to activate. Ozaremit can be used anywhere and anytime from a laptop or mobile.
The platform works simply. A user selects the country they want to send top-up to. Chooses how much they want to send. Proceeds to payment checkout and then Ozaremit sends credit to their loved one’s phone instantly.
