Born in Minnesota, U.S to two immigrant parents from Nigeria, Zim Ugochukwu, used her $17,000 in savings to start Travel Noire to create tools and resources for explorers of color and other unconventional travelers to help them lead more global lives.
Travel Noire creates travel tools, resources and experiences to help travelers discover new destinations including a digital chat community and an immersive international group experiences which are covered on travelnoire.com.
The platform selects the most amazing individuals of color or from the African diaspora from across the globe to share their love of culture and exploration with others to inspire them to travel the world-both to rural areas, major cities, in valleys and mountains in the Americas, Middle East, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Africa.
