kuhustleNailab’s Kuhustle-which means get your hustle on is tightening its ropes on its freelancer developer jobs marketplace to a closed up on-demand tech talent platform to help individuals and firms with tech-related tasks to hire a developer on demand, moving away from the open networking platform it used to be.
Answering Ben Tossell — Community Lead, Product Hunt, who wanted to hear the backstory behind Kuhustle, Sam Gichuru — co-founder kuhustle.com wrote, “Consumer behavior is changing and they don’t care for the process, they want the end results, the finished product. Traditional freelance platforms do not guarantee quality and bring along a multitude of headaches, such as shortlisting, quality etc. By plugging in a product manager, clients are able to enjoy greater convenience, simplicity and assured quality that their product will be done on time and within budget.”
Now set to launch in Nigeria, Gichuru says he’s happy to help build and export tech talent, to the world but at the moment, the focus is to utilize this talent in Africa itself.

The pivot has seen Kuhustle get featured and upvoted by some of the best founders in Silicon Valley on Product Hunt and saw it trend on Hacker News for connecting the Africa’s top tech developers to the world. The platform now around 18000 users with over 130 jobs being posted every month, growing at 10% every week compared to back in February when it just had 30 jobs a month. At the moment the value of work posted is almost at Kshs 40 million and is revenue-positive.

kuhustle2Incorporated in the US, Kuhustle Inc, works simply. A user signs up, described their project whether it is a design, website, mobile application or social media marketing project and how urgent it is. Kuhustle then gets the client a product manager who’ll match him or her with an expert to brainstorm with and help them put together a work plan specifying deliverables, team and an affordable budget and timelines. The user then sits back and waits for the bi-weekly updates as an expert works on their project with a 100 percent money-back guarantee.
