Over 3,300 votes have already been received for the African FinTech Awards since the launch of the voting competition two weeks ago. At present, top-scoring companies include Wala (508 votes),Sureswipe (255), Wealthmigrate (217), Simplepay (204), Mobicred (178).
The voting or nomination of the African FinTech Awards, is still ongoing and several companies have been nominated and awaiting your vote including Cellulant, PesaPal, 3G Direct Pay, Abacus, Lipisha, Kopo Kopo, BitSoko among others.
According to Joe Macharia, CEO Abacus, “Abacus winning this award would greatly improve our visibility, attracting more partners and investors such as yourselves. This will lead to more investment partnerships and a bigger community, increasing knowledge, interaction, and ways to make more money.”
The African FinTech Awards and Conference on 13 October 2016 forms an important part of the Finance Indaba Africa, the biggest annual expo and conference for finance professionals of the African continent, and which will see over 5,000 visitors tap into a wealth of resources, know-how and inspiration.
Firms will also demo or exhibit their products and services at this hugely anticipated event. The dedicated FinTech Zone will be located on the main expo floor of the Indaba and is where the hottest African FinTech companies will showcase the latest developments on how to boost financial inclusion.
