The firm, which recently launched its Android app is also expanding to new areas in Nairobi and has earmarked South B, South C, Umoja, Thika Road, Riruta and Langata. The firm has also increased its partners to over 30 and held a successful used clothing drive on July 23rd + 24th with 100s of items – shoes, clothes, books collected for donation to charity.
Though the firm’s growth and expansion seems like child’s play, the team says it faced hundreds of challenges along the way. The team had to convince its early customers that their clothes won’t be stolen, that they pick and drop the clothes to their homes or offices on time. Finding the right partners and staff to join the team wasn’t easy due to skepticism from traditional dry cleaners seeing us as competition than partners.
Kisafi has also signed an exclusive partnership deal with one of the three largest real estates brokerages in Africa to manage residential move-in cleaning and have plans to expand service times, add same day service and aim to hire more assistants to speed up cleaning process for efficiency. The firm also aims to add new service categories such as carpet cleaning, seat cleaning among others.
Its immediate future plan is to launch in Thika town, Karen, Ngong, Limuru, Kisumu, Mombasa, Naivasha, Nanyuki in Q3/Q4 and then do beta testing in Kampala after that.
