Singapore’s Global FinTech Hackcelerator is looking for market-ready solutions for the financial sector and is set to invest over $70,000 (Singapore dollars) into up to 20 global teams that will be selected to participate in the 10-week virtual program that will culminate in a demo day at the Singapore FinTech Festival on 15 November 2016.
The selected teams will be provided a cash stipend of $20,000 along with access to mentors, infrastructure support and business development opportunities with industry leaders. The top 3 teams at demo day will also be awarded an additional $50,000 cash prize each.
The $20,000 is a cash stipend while $50,000 is a cash prize (Singapore dollars). The prize has no IP/equity required, users participate in the 10-week program (starting early September). Demo day is set to be held on 15 November 2016. Startups are required to submit their ideas/solutions to the 100 FinTech problem statements provided by the industry by 31 July 2016 at http://www.
The Global FinTech Hackcelerator is organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), in partnership with the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) and powered by PwC and Plug and Play. The Hackcelerator demo day is a key event in the inaugural Singapore FinTech Festival.
