According to him, 234work.com is a one stop marketplace for digital services where anyone with any skill can provide services for a fee starting from $5 to do tasks such logo design, voice overs, edits, animation, article writing, marketing, legal, business plans, medical services and more.
“It allows anyone to buy services that meet their needs from independent professionals who enjoy doing what they do with their spare time,” Onyekwere says.
234work.com is simply a micro service marketplace where people post their job saying “I will do…….for $?” or “I can do….. for $?” and those in need of this service just simply browse through, select a gig, contact the seller and as any question after which he checks out or place a custom other. the seller/freelancer only receive payment to their bank account after the buyer has confirmed and rated their gig performance.
Say for example John wants a logo for his business. With 234work.com, John is able to find so many talented people with good design skills after a single click. John just needs to select the best one and get his logo done without stress. For skilled designers and marketers, this is another platform to earn extra cash and build their portfolios or just gain experience.
Whether 234work survives the next three years depends entirely on Onyekwere’s strategies as similar platforms have been launched and never survived the first year of business. The biggest challenge being failure of the founders to market the platforms to reach as many people as possible. Skilled people wouldn’t come to a platform minus jobs and no one will be willing to post jobs on the platform for the second time if they can’t find the best skills on their first attempt.
234work has not mentioned how it aims to make its money but we guess it will have a commission on every job or task posted or successfully accomplished.
