Digital African Woman, an initiative designed under the Digital Global Woman- a program dedicated to supporting and developing female led tech startups across Africa and the Diaspora is hosting a interactive 2-day conference for the first time in Brussels.
The #DAWConference is focused on accelerating female-led African and Diaspora tech startups through a a series of workshops and seminars on leadership and entrepreneurship by business professionals and renown entrepreneurs.
Some of the topics to be covered include developing ideas to their full potential, communication techniques, Rapid Idea Improvement, collaboration and rapid prototyping.
Up to 200 professionals interested in the ecosystem of African and Diaspora female led businesses Technology and African innovation will attend this program on Wednesday &Thursday September 21st-22nd 2016.
“Our training will be delivered by leading experts in the innovation and entrepreneurship field. Using the MIT app inventor for design and prototype development. We will provide a world class learning platform for participating start-ups, business leaders and interested individuals,” said the organization.
On the Day 2: 22 September 2016, there will be presentations by well-known female leaders and entrepreneurs such as Her Excellency Amb. Mariam Blaak -Uganda Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Ushahidi’s Angela Odour and recent MIT graduate and CEO of Mbadika Ms Netia McCray, Rosario Robinson, Director of Communities @ Anita Bourg Institute and Iffat Gill, the founder and CEO of Code to Change/ChunriChoupaal.
There will also be a pitch presentation from selected high potential Digital African and Diaspora Startups and an award for the most valued pitch.
