There are over ten job boards and recruitment services in Kenya and all of them aim to win the market. In a move to stay ahead of all of them, One Africa Media’s job listing site BrighterMonday has launched WhatsApp chat and Facebook Messenger bot to increase one-on-one communication with clients and improve customer satisfaction.
In a statement, Mr. Emmanuel Mutuma, BrighterMonday Kenya’s CEO said, “BrighterMonday’s main commitment is connecting employers and job seekers on a transparent platform. The launch of tools like WhatsApp and the Facebook Chat Bot come in to facilitate the process and increase efficiency. Our job seeker audience will now enjoy faster job alerts, tips and personalized responses to queries. “
Through the WhatsApp chat users will now be able to make inquiries through the channel and receive personalised responses. They will also be able to receive job alerts corresponding to their preferences on Mondays and Thursdays, upon subscription.
Users can join the WhatsApp chat through a simple process where they either add BrighterMonday to their contacts or request to be added on the WhatsApp channel. Once on the channel, the user will be able to ask questions and upon confirmation, get to be added on a preferred group.
The available groups and categories on WhatsApp include Accounting & Finance, Marketing & Creative, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical
Engineering & Construction. Sales & Customer Service, Government & NGO, Human Resources & Office Management
Management & Consulting, Retail & Service, Education & Training and IT & Telecoms. Users can also forward this links directly to their Whatsapp contacts.
Meanwhile the Facebook Messenger Bot available here will allows users to speak to BrighterMonday AKA Mr. Bright allowing them to add alerts, choose different job categories so that they receive job alerts on their Facebook inbox every time a job in their selected category is posted. BrighterMonday says this move is to give all its customers their own personal virtual assistant in their job search.
