How fingerprints can be safer than passwords

unknown

Data is usually transmitted through airborne radio waves such as Bluetooth or WiFI. When the invention of security codes and passwords were made people were excited and felt safer. But as technology advanced hackers became smarter and made security transmissions vulnerable to factotums. Such people have managed to break encrypted codes and people have basically managed to eavesdrop on people’s secret lives. Because of the fear of password hacks and security flaws, a group of electrical engineers have figured out how to use the body as a way of sending data. This method has been said to be more secure than sending data using WiFi or Bluetooth.

One of the greatest devices that use fingerprints is the iPhone. This is possible by the use of low-frequency signal that travel through your body every time you unlock your phone or computer. Usually your phone fingerprint sensor works with your unique fingerprint so that when you log in it can identify with you. But the new recent design created is a bit different. The new design does not use data based on your fingerprint but the by-product of the sensors function and electric signals to create it’s own codes. Some signals can be too strong that it can actually shock the body while the newer ones are said to have low voltages that the body can never feel the shock. This new system can also be used to transmit information with the use of sensors on things such as smart doors or a wearable medical device.
