Mondo Ride announces its fully integrated operations in Kenya

Smart transportation provider Mondo Ride has announced full functionality of its integrated operations, which include a robust mobile app along with a 24 x 7 call centre catering to customers across the board.

The new developments come after a successful test launch and introduction of customer friendly initiatives, which include reducing rates and introducing ‘happy hours’ earlier last month.

While the app allows all customers using a smart phone with an internet connection to hire cars at a press of button, the 24 x 7 call centre helps customers wanting to pre-book a car according to their needs. It also takes care of those who do not use a smart phone for any reason or where internet connectivity poses a problem.

Among the other innovative initiatives unveiled by the company were the POS functionality which allows customers to hire cars from their point of presence such as malls, restaurants or any other place by using the installed kiosks.

Mondo is the only company in the car hiring space in Kenya, that allows customers to call for their favourite drivers. The app will allow them to chat with their preferred driver and book the ride with the driver, subject to his availability. It has also removed any restrictions with respect to booking the same car more than once during the day. Customers can now hire the same car any number of times during the day if it is available.

The company also announced its corporate tie-up program which allows employees of companies to hail cars through either of the options with the rides being billed directly to their employers.

It will soon be launching the Mondo Safari and other value added services details of which will be provided soon.Commenting on the developments, Troels Andersen, Global CEO, Mondo Ride, said “we have been constantly trying to address customer delight points.

All the initiatives announced by the company so far have been focussing on customers as well as drivers registered with us creating a win-win situation for all stakeholders.’

The function ensures that every citizen, even if he/she does not operate/own a smartphone should have access to our services. This also takes care of any eventuality where access to the internet becomes a problem for customers. The service has worked well for us so far and has added value to our overall business.”  Andersen said, further elaborating on the features introduced so far.
