CADx, a computer aided diagnostic system to help doctors diagnose medical images more accurately and save lives, was selected the best startup in Zimbabwe October 30th during Seedstars Harare.
CADx won the Zimbabwe round of Seedstars World and will represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland to compete for up to USD 1 million in equity investment at Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes,
CADx beat 9 other selected startups that presented their ideas in front of the local jury panel.
“I entered this competition to learn, but I did not expect to win. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and can not wait to join Seedstars for the Regional Summit next month in Kigali. A last advice for all of the entrepreneurs would be to just go ahead and follow your dream ,” explains Gift Gana, founder and CEO of CADx.
As a part of the prize, CADx will be participating at Seedstars regional Summit next month in Kigali from the 7th to the 9th of December and the Gloabl summit, taking place in Switzerland in April 2017.
Road Rules, a intelligent mobile application revolutionising the way people acquire driver’s licenses in Africa came second and Round Solutions a B2B e-commerce platform that allows tuck-shops to order stock directly from manufacturers, by-passing wholesalers came in the 3.rd.
The other startups invited to pitch were Hurukuro Consultancy, PENYA Finance, Zivai, Ignite Africa, iFarm Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, Hurudza Africa, and BizeX.
