Ringier launches P Live in Kenya as it continues its pan-African expansion drive


After successes in the Nigerian and Kenyan markets, Ringier Africa Digital Publishing has launched a version of Pulse in Kenya dubbed P Live, its brand new independent, nonpartisan news & entertainment platform for the region.

According to the firm, the launch is part of its continued expansion of its publishing activities across Africa and it will be working with Kenya’s Ghafla, to give the continent a glimpse into Kenyan and East African entertainment scene. Pulse and Ghafla have a content deal that will see Ghafla supply P Live with content. The details of the syndication deal have not been made public.

Apart from news, P Live has also been integrated with Rupu to launch Ppromos, focusing on providing merchants of all sizes, e-commerce or otherwise, even more affordable ways to advertise their goods and services to a wide-reaching audience of millions, online.

In a similar move, Ringier Africa Deals Group (RADG)’s discount ecommerce platforms Tisu in Ghana will be merged with P Live to form Ppromos to offer merchants new ways of reaching a large customer base.  The Ringier Africa Deals Group (RADG), a JV between Ringier Africa and Silvertree Internet Holdings also run brands such as DealDey (products & services); Promohub (product & service promotions) and Lyf (product & services directory).
