There are 153 universities in Nigeria attended by thousands of students. A major struggle that these students encounter is the buying and selling of goods and services.
This was what prompted Adavize Ozorku and Hassan Adeize to set up Kamposa. They said: “We understand the challenges students face when looking for buyers for goods they want to sell or when they urgently need to purchase something without delay, and so we took it upon us to find a solution to this problem because we believe that students deserve better.
“With Kamposa.com, we are confident in ending this hassle by offering to be an online trading hub for students of higher learning centers across the country. What we have done basically is to create a service that brings classified ads closer to students in Nigeria campuses thereby making it easy for them to trade among themselves as they will be informed about available dealings around them”.
Launched in December 2016, Kamposa is a classified site designed specifically to promote buying and selling among students in higher institutions in Nigeria. It is easy to use as you only need to register, upload a picture of what you want to sell and any interested buyer will contact you.
Students can get items including Books and Stationaries, Computers and Laptops, Phones and Accessories, Clothing and Fashion, Appliances as well as accommodation and Jobs and Services.
Presently, the schools on Kamposa include Kaduna State University, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa, Kogi State University, University of Lagos, Federal University of Technology, Minna, University of Ilorin, and Ahmadu Bello University.
