FillYaTank established by Uche Dim in 2015 describes itself as a crowdsourcing application, built to assist Nigerians to save money and time buying Petroleum products (Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Gas).
How does FillYaTank work? Users simply search for the state they are located and a list of filling stations will be provided. Presently, the states where you can search for filling stations includes Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Oyo, and Rivers.
For how they get the prices of petroleum products, FillYaTank has spotters whose duty is to report or spot prices and availability of these products. To be a spotter, you must provide the aforementioned information for 5 filling stations near you to qualify.
