The Re:Code Nigeria hackathon, set for Friday the 24th of March at 1PM until Sunday the 26th of March at 4PM aims to bring together fintech entrepreneurs and stakeholders in Nigeria to transform the existing mode of engagement in the banking industry; the customer experience, and create value for customers beyond payments.
The organizers, not related to Silicon Valley’s Re:Code say the event is expected to create a balance between the traditional institutions and the emerging fintech institutions by awarding winning teams up to $5000 in prize money.
The competition will see winners awarded $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 for the winner, runners up and the third best brilliant solution.
Re:Code Nigeria believes financial services sector is in flux, more and more it feels like the users are the ones serving instead of being served. With so much disruptive technologies coming up, there is no better time to change the flow of service, than now. That’s the reason the organization has set up the event.
