8GB RAM becomes a reality in the new ZTE Nubia Z17, a bezelless phone endorsed by Christiano Ronaldo.

People are still trying to wrap their heads around 6GB RAM phones especially when the majority of laptops are still stuck at 4GB. If you have been wondering why a phone needs all that RAM, you are not alone, but in China, specs wars are real, only those will the biggest guns at the lowest prices win.

The ZTE Nubia Z17 fits this profile, it even gets an endorsement from Christiano Ronaldo, the best footballer right now. It’s headline features are 5.5 inch Full HD IPS screen that has no side bezels at all and a whopping  8GB RAM. That’s is enough to have multiple Triple A games running at the background at the same time without the phone breaking a sweat. Thanks to the latest Snapdragon 835, the huge amounts of RAM have a worthy companion. The big sizes dont end there, the phone has 64GB base storage and 128GB version is also available as well.

The camera is also another headliner, it is a dual sensor with 23MP + 12MP combo that supports 2x optical zoom and up to 10x Dynamic zoom, like the iPhone 7 Plus. The selfie is equipped with 16MP shooter with a wide 80 degree angle of view and f/2.0 aperture.
The Nubia Z17 also has IP67 water and dust resistant rating, ZTE went ahead to hold the launch event at the National Aquatic Center to drive that point home. They also announced that the 7.6mm body packs a 3200mAh battery that has the new Quick Charge 4.0 technology that fills 0-50% in a mere 25 minutes. A feature called Neo Power 3 will assist suspension of background processing to stretch the battery life to two days. The longevity is also aided by the Android 7.1.1 Nougat that is running under the Nubia UI 5.0.
