Sing Plus, or Sing+, is a new karaoke singing and recording application specially designed for African music lovers with a songbook of 3,000 and growing instrumental tracks of trending Swahili and English songs in Africa.

The brand-new app, developed by Eagle Mobi, an African mobile app developer, aims to connect music-lovers, singers, and instrumentalists to allow them to publish and promote cover songs or original music for free.

“Though it’s not a new idea to create a karaoke app, Sing+ is the only one to provide local African songs for totally free without ads”, said Tiger Zhang, CEO of Eagle Mobi, “we aims to making the No. 1 music community where every African joins”. According to Tiger, Sing+ is the only karaoke app which provides Swahili karaokes which are very popular in East Africa. Singers can choose from a growing number of more than 3,000 songs, covering just about every genre and style of music in Africa. “We start the app with Swahili and English songbooks,” added Tiger, “we’re adding more native language songs such as Yoruba and Amharic”.

With a growing songbook of over 1,000 Swahili karaoke tracks and 2,000 English karaoke tracks, Sing+ introduces its free songbook based on genres, languages, artists, top hits, recommended lists and suggested themes. By choosing “A capella (Free Stype)”, singers can also record their music performances without any background music in free style.Once tap on “Sing” button, Sing+ allows an user to sing into an Android microphone along with free Lyrics and background instrumental music, the app will automatically record the vocal while singing. Besides, it allows users to edit the recording by adjusting the sound volume, adding reverb enhancements, changing vocal effects to make the audio more interesting and professional before publishing.

Given the fact that most African people are using mobile data to surf on the Internet, the app itself is only 6 MB, and the instrumental tracks in Sing+ Songbook share an average of 3M file size while sound in good quality, thus making the app consume the least data. Besides, once the karaoke tracks are kept well in Sing+ Library, users can feel free to record them anytime offline without data consuming.
