There is no gainsaying that Nigeria’s e-commerce space is saturated. It seems there are new startups make their entry in the market daily. Thus giving Konga and Jumia a serious competition.
Another one has launched named Alabamart. Well, if you are in Lagos, Alaba should ring a bell. It is one of the biggest and popular markets in Lagos state and indeed Nigeria. You can purchase anything and everything you want.
Alabamart describes itself as a marketplace to give the Alaba International and Computer Village an online presence so as to make them easily accessible to customers wherever you are, anywhere in the country without having to travel down to Lagos. Of course, you know Computer Village. If you do not, it is the home of electronics and other digital devices in Lagos.
They are new to the e-commerce business and they have a long way to go. The truth is since there are other popular startups than Alabamart, it may take time for them to find their feet. But with the right marketing strategy, they can carve a niche for themselves.
