In time past, you have to visit different websites to perform transactions which include buying airtime, purchasing movie and event tickets, pay bills and perhaps donate to charity.

As said, this is in the past. There is now a platform where you can perform all these transactions and it is Nairabox.

Nairabox is a social e-wallet application that allows users to buy airtime on the go, pay bills, buy food, donate to any charity of their choice and buy movie or event tickets at the convenience of your home or work place.

The startup which was founded in 2016 by three young Nigerians Jay Chikezie, Tokunbo Adetona and Damilola Jegede, also allows users can make in-store payments.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Nairabox; Damilola Jegede, the digital wallet will afford users the opportunity to carry out and pay for transactions using an application that is safe, quick and convenient.

He said: “Nairabox allows you to do everything quicker. It is a lifestyle changer. It is literally changing your wallet to an application so you can make payments; from bill payments to donations to event tickets purchases, cinema tickets, buy airtime, and you get rewarded for doing these things. One of the rewards includes five per cent discount when you pay with your Nairabox.”

Continuing, Jegede added: “Nairabox is pretty safe. We know in the modern day and age, everyone worries about security. Security is at the heart of Nairabox, it is the beginning and end of the product. Nairabox is encrypted from end to end. We have put everything in place to  mitigate every form of security threat, by encrypting all transactions from end to end, from when you do it on the mobile application  itself to the transportation to the server, from there to financial processing and back, it’s all encrypted to ensure that its tamper proof.” He listed unique features of the digital wallet to include; easy management of transactions in the portal designated for merchants.”
