The Infinix Hot 5 Lite is the toned down version of the Infinix Hot 5 smartphone. The device was launched alongside its big brother (the Hot 5) on the 28th of August. The PRO version of the Infinix Note 4 Pro was also launched the same day in Kenya.
The Infinix Hot 5 Lite is quite similar to the Infinix Hot 5 smartphone but there surely exists some differences. Let’s go through the main features of the Hot 5 Lite before segueing to the full specifications.
DESIGN & DISPLAY
Design-wise, the Infinix Hot 5 Lite shares the same appearance, size, dimensions and even weighs the same as the Infinix Hot 5. However, there’s a design distinction; as there is always is between any two device.
The design distinction is the absence of the fingerprint scanner on the Infinix Hot 5 rear. The logo and camera position however remains the same as the Hot 5’s.
The Hot 5 Lite also had the same 5.5 inch IPS HD screen as the Hot 5.
PROCESSOR AND STORAGE
The same MediaTek MT6580 chipset found on the Hot 5 also governs the activities of this device. The processor has four cores (Quad-core) and runs on the same 1.3 GHz as its older sibling – the Infinix Hot 5.
To differentiate the Infinix Hot 5 Lite from the Hot 5 and as a smaller version that it is, the device comes with a reduced RAM size – 1 GB. The 16 GB internal storage (ROM) however remains the same.
CAMERA
The cameras? Same old, same old. 8 megapixels on the rear and 5 megapixels on selfie duties up front. Both are supported by LED flash lights.
BATTERY
The Infinix Hot 5 Lite maintains the same 4,000 mAh non-removable battery pack as used on the Hot 5. The Infinix Hot 5 Lite also comes with the Quick charge feature and on full charge, the battery lasts up to 48 hours (2 days).

The Infinix Hot 5 Lite costs Ksh. 8,399 and is available on Kenya’s Kilimall. The device is also available in various stores and mobile phone outlets across Kenya and price may vary according to region.
