Manufacturers & distributors in East Africa have received a big boost with the official launch of SYSPRO‘s regional offices in Nairobi, Kenya, confirming the growing interest in the regional manufacturing sector.
The ERP software firm which was founded in South Africa in 1978, will use the Kenyan office as a regional hub for East Africa serving its clientele and partners spread across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia. Instead of serving them from its South African office.
Though Kenya has been on the global map for its consumer-facing innovations like mobile money and financial inclusion, its manufacturing and distribution sectors have been growing steadily too even seeing manufacturing and distribution firms expand to more markets in the region. Kenyan manufacturers are some of the biggest in east and central Africa and the trend will continue to grow.
“Opening an office in Kenya comes as a result of recognizing the potential that the region has to offer. We are extremely excited for what’s to come in the next few months. We are also eager to explore the opportunities that this will present to the manufacturing sector,” concluded Wilson.
