Many owners have this misconception that they can know all about an employee by simply interviewing him in the first go. Well, let’s face it, you cannot judge someone at the first meeting, and same is the case with interviewing your employees. It’s not only the skills and degree that need to be noticed in fact; you have to know them personally to be sure that they are not a threat to your company or business.

1- Employment History

Don’t only look at the resume of the candidate because there are high chances that his resume and his real personality don’t match. So, for that, you need to check their employment history as it will speak a lot about the person you are interviewing. You have to check his previous position in the company he used to work, ask for the reason why he left that job and also verify all the information. The one major mistake with the hiring process is that we believe all that’s written on the resume, the reality is that not everything and every degree written can be true and for that, you need to get some verifications from the university and the company to where he used to work before.

2-Driving Records

Believe it or not, the driving record says a lot about your employee. Especially if you are a car or driving company then obviously you have to go through all of his previous records as this can assure you of the fact that the candidate is right for you or not. Moreover, it somehow also depicts the behavior and manners of the candidate so yes you can use this test as an employee background check.

3-Criminal Records

Another important way to check the background of your employee is by going through his criminal records. If his record is all clear and there is nothing in the records, then you can surely hire him, but even if he has been involved in any crime, then we suggest you think twice before hiring him.  

4-Public Records
