Music fans across South Africa can now enjoy instant access to Spotify’s free ad-supported and subscription services. which targets users throughout the day to understand their moods, mindsets and the context in which they are listening and as result target its ads not just based on age, gender and location, but also genres and playlists.
These allows advertisers to craft relevant messaging to reach the right people in the right moment based on whether they’re partying or chilling; whether they’re jamming out to Rock or winding down with R&B. From there, marketers can pick their target audience, customize their budget and campaign dates, and track results. It’s really that easy for your message to be heard.
Spotify will bring the international choice that Africans want and will slow the growth of Radio Africa Group and Safaricom’s Songa app and 88mph’s Mdundo which recently signed a distribution deal with Warner Music Group.
