Pangea accelerator has invested in 3 Kenyan startups, from their cohort of over 40 startups (from Egypt, Kenya and Nigeria) and over 400 applications.
The three include Biasharabot, Onesha and Tozzplus. Biasharabot (a social media management system and customer service chatbot), Onesha (a digital marketplace for with over 700 creatives) and Tozzaplus (a cloud-based accounting & payroll system).

Pangea’s investor network of 31 Scandinavia-based investors, drawn from Accenture, KPMG, Proctor & Gamble among others, mentored Pangea’s 11 finalists for 1.5 months before handpicking their investment cases.
Pangea has been running an acceleration program, in partnership with Liquid Telecom, @iBizAfrica and BDO, among other partners, for over 40 startups aimed at providing milestone-based capacity-building for 12 weeks.
Building on the investment, Pangea has introduced a 12 month follow-up mentorship program for several of the program’s participants.
Here are the Pangea finalists who pitched at Pangea’s Demo Day:
Acacia Innovation – Acacia Innovation supplies sugarcane-based biomass briquettes to over 200 schools and small businesses. They also have an innovative ‘cookstove + briquette subscription model’.
Biasharabot– Biasharabot is a social media manager and marketing tool which helps in handling customer queries, makes shopping and checkout process simpler, and also enables easy options for driving sales.
HelpMum– HelpMum uses the power of mobile technology and low cost innovation to tackle maternal and infant death in Africa. Working with rural clinics and traditional birth attendants across Nigeria, HelpMum provides safe affordable birth kits for maternal & infant care.
Lakeview Fisheries– Besides being the largest fish fingerling producer in Kenya, Lakeview Fisheries creates a network of micro franchise fish vendors deployed in some of LVF’s 500 locations within Nairobi. Their cold chain solution is easily portable and takes into account constraints such as lack of electricity.
Onesha– Onesha is an online marketplace for Africa’s top creatives where businesses get access to vetted and sorted pool of creatives in diverse categories who can deliver on specific tasks at the business’ budget. With over 700 creatives on their platform, Onesha has provided provided creative talent to Uber, Safaricom and the like.
SaveKubwa– In less than 3 minutes one can get personalised motor insurance quotes from multiple insurance companies, transparently compare and buy them on SaveKubwa’s platform, making buying motor insurance easy and stress-free.
Skolera– Skolera is a unified learning platform that provides for full digitisation and distribution of resources, assessment, collaboration and communication, monitoring and supervision and finally reporting for schools. They were rated the 4th best education platform globally in terms
Sure Corporation– Sure Corporation runs Safiri Express a reliable, affordable and comfortable pre-booked shuttle service in Nairobi.
Tozzaplus – TozzaPlus is a cloud business management tool for small businesses with an integrated accounting, invoicing, payroll, payouts and CRM modules.
Yusudi– This is a blended Learning program which provides life skills development program aimed at enabling people to grow their career as employees or entrepreneurs.
