GreenTec Capital, a Frankfurt-based Firm which recently made an investment into Kenyan insurance company, Bismart is expanding its West African presence with the opening of a GreenTec office in Nigeria’s Lagos.
The office will be supported by two new team members, David Ogundeko and Eniola Lawal.
The firm says the opening of its Nigeria office represents the second step in GreenTec’s African expansion strategy. Situated in the most populous city in Africa’s largest market, the office will give GreenTec a local presence in one of the most active start-up markets in Africa. The positioning will give GreenTec better access to West Africa as well as Africa’s largest destination for foreign investment.
The Nigeria office will be supported by a highly experienced local team that is passionate about sustainable development and entrepreneurship. The team will consist of Mr. David Ogundeko and Ms. Eniola Lawal.
Recently, GreenTec invested into Nigeria’s Parcel-IT, an innovative on-demand logistics platform aimed at targeting the more than 20,000 daily delivery requests around Lagos. Parcel-IT’s app solves these problems, by providing access to delivery riders on-demand. The app is designed to be an open marketplace for dispatching riders and is available as a free downloadable app from the Google Play Store or as an API to integrate dispatching with e-commerce providers.
