Huawei Mobile today launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Y9 (2019) in Kenya. The Android phone is available in 2 Colors; Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue and will retail at Kes. 24,990/-.
The phone is available on Jumia Kenya and other key Huawei distributors’ country wide for pre-orders from today till the 27th of October when a public launch will be done at Two Rivers Mall and Thika Road Mall. The Huawei Y9 (2019) sports a 6.5-inch Full View Display with a 3D curved design and has a 4GB RAM powered by the Kirin 710 processor. The Kirin processor is a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which improves single-core performance by 75% and multi-core performance by 68%. This is because of its 12nm process technology.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor.
It also sports a dual camera setup at the front, with 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Both the camera setups come with some AI-based features. The AI photography technology on the Huawei Y9 produces more stunning selfies and more professional photos. For photography and music lovers, the phone comes with 64GB internal memory, this should be more than enough space for your instapics and endless playlists.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Sensors on the phone include Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
The Huawei Y9 (2019) also comes with Fingerprint 4.0 identification technology that can unlock the smartphone in 0.3 seconds. The upgraded fingerprint technology also includes fingerprint navigation that enables users to manage all the notifications with one key.
You can also rediscover gaming with GPU Turbo. It has 2x the GPU efficiency and a GPU performance increase of 1.3x to deliver a powerfully immersive gaming experience.
The phone also boasts of being the first to be TÜV Rheinland Certified to ensure a gentle visual experience. With TÜV Rheinland, users can now stay up as long as they want because this mode will filter out harsh blue frequencies and reduce blue light damage, as well as give their eyes comfort in low light to provide extra comfort with Huawei Reading.
