Huawei has received over 2000 pre-orders for its Huawei Y9 2019 smartphone launched a week ago in the Kenyan market via Jumia and retail stores across the country surpassing the firm’s target by 140%.
The Kshs 24,990 smartphone will also be available at Telkom retail stores across the country.
Speaking of the ongoing sales, Huawei’s Head of Eastern Africa Mobile Steven Li said, “We would like to acknowledge the fact that Y9 2019 has been one of the devices that has generated interest in the market, our pre-order sales were above our expectation, as of yesterday we were still receiving pre-order requests both online and offline.”
