Mofoluke Ayoola’s RedViolet Company expands to Ghana to help users furnish their homes and offices with ease

Founded by Mofoluke Ayoola in 2010, Nigeria’s RedViolet is a go-to interior platform providing everyday Nigerians with quality furniture and furnishing accessories to beautify their homes and offices with topnotch style and comfort.

Now serving customers in Ghana and Nigeria, RedViolet Company started as a traditional brick and mortar interior design company offering home makeovers, furniture procurement, home and office styling then expanded into a fully online store for furniture and furnishing accessories.

“Our goal is simple. To help you achieve decent living and work environments,” said Ayoola. “To deliver on our promise of comfort and customer satisfaction and nurture our vision of becoming the leading e-commerce store specialising in interior design products and services in Nigeria, Ghana and the rest of West Africa, RedViolet now leverages innovative online tools to deliver on its promise.”

To differentiate itself, RedViolet, says it just doesn’t provide its customers with furniture and furnishing accessories but also offer accompanying services that make setting up the interior of your home and office seamless. 

Some of its services include furniture manufacturing, furniture repairs and refurbishment, wall treatment, installation for all interior products, interior decoration and space styling, floor treatment and window treatment. The firm also does shipping throughout Nigeria.

RedViolet also helps users to instantly and quickly buy a furnished look on its website under the Shop the Look Initiative.

For its Nigeria and Ghana customers, RedViolet provides home and office design and styling service, custom shape, any fabric sofa designs, custom-made upholstery, customised dining chairs, customised bedsteads and headboards, accessorizing
light planning and installation and colour consultation. For customers who want renovation and remodelling they do space planning, concept development and project management services.

Other services include fitting bedrooms, offices, kitchens, curtains and blinds estimating, making and fitting, fitting wooden blinds, artificial grass, tiling, carpeting among others. The firm also helps source for furniture, lighting, accessories, fixtures and anything a customer might need. All RedViolet add-on services are available in Nigeria and Ghana only.

Under the Chairmanship of Mofoluke Ayoola, the firm moved from an offline interior design and styling company to furniture production in 2010 to add to its home/office remodelling and space styling services. Between 2014 and 2016, RedViolet fully pivoted from a brick and mortar store to an online virtual showroom and launched a Shop the Look by RedViolet to enable its customers access styled spaces on-demand styles apart from just selling furniture online like Hogfurniture, Furnish, Homewox, and Domestico among others.

In 2018, the RedViolet company moved from being a full blown ecommerce company into an online furniture marketplace stocking furniture items and accessories from some of the best furniture brands in Nigeria and beyond. These opened up more business to manufacturers and opened up job opportunities to many youth as well.

With these, the organization was awarded The Southwest Nigeria Outstanding Company of the Year Award for Excellent Customer Service, Technology and Integrity in the Furniture and Interior Decor category.

Mofoluke

Today, RedViolet Company is creating a platform that enables home and office owners perfect the art of DIY (Do it yourself) in interior design and styling. With the help of digital technology, to help users create a space that is a reflection of who you are and what your business/home represents.

Named among top five women entrepreneurs building tech businesses in Nigeria, Mofoluke was a participant of CEM, Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management at the Entrepreneurial Development Centre arm of Pan Atlantic University as a beneficiary of The Goldman Sachs 10000 Women Initiative. She is a beneficiary of The Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YOUWIN) Program.

With a Master’s in Innovation Creativity and Leadership at Cass Business School, Mofoluke is developing a digital application that allows their users visualize their proposed design layout using similar inbuilt layout prototypes. The RedViolet Company allows users to shop their desired looks on the go.
