OLX is now Jiji as Naspers finalizes its Sub-Saharan Africa exit

Walie Holdings Ltd, a Jiji-owned company now fully owns and operates OLX in Africa as Jiji.ng in Nigeria and Jiji.ke in Kenya in a sub-Saharan exit strategy by Naspers-owned OLX Group.

Walie Holdings is working on a new website after taking over OLX in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana and Kenya and will have a similar freemium model for users to continue to buy and sell their items. OLX’s competition in Kenya include PigiaMe and Pata.ke

“As of 20 June 2019, when you come to our website it will redirect you to Jiji.ke, but you will still be able to sign in and continue using your existing account there, without having to create a new one,” OLX announced to its customers, adding that it had been taken over by a new firm Walie Holdings. “For the purposes of continuing the service, we will transfer your account details (including your personal information that you have provided to us) and your active advertisements to Walie Holdings Ltd on 14 June 2019.”

Walie Holdings Ltd is registered in the British Virgin Islands as Walie Holdings Ltd c/o AJK Corporate Services (BVI) Limited.
