This is the first most important tip for word recovery. If your laptop is out of order and your fear that it might get turned off at any time, quickly save the document with a name in the beginning. Don’t wait to complete the document and then save. Most people make a common mistake of waiting for the entire document to finish and then save. As soon as you have a document title, the next step should be to save. During typing, keep on pressing “save” frequently. Everyone is going to have a different version of Microsoft word. The latest version saves the document automatically, but not everyone is going to have it.

2.      Use keyboard shortcuts frequently

Master the keyboard shortcuts to cut, copy and paste. Master these three shortcuts and trust me, you will be able to save more time. Instead of doing everything with the mouse and zooming the screen to confirm, easy keys are going to help you a lot. Ask a tech-savvy person to help you with that. You should know about Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste, and Ctrl+A to cut. There are many other short keys too, such as Ctrl+A to Select all and Ctrl+Z to undo. Once you learn them, you’ll work like a Microsoft word pro. Some people often lose documents by using the wrong short keys and look for word document recovery.

3.      Delete all the words at a time

We often end up typing a lot of text which is not needed in the document. Work like a pro and remove all the text at once by using the short key Ctrl+Backspace after you select the words that need to be removed. This will save a lot of your time and prevent eye strain. Many people develop eyesight issues when they frequently look at the screen to carefully cut all the words that are just not needed in the document.

4.      Always choose your font

Word has its default font which it wants you to use. As a beginner, you might not know that. Choose the font that you want and type all your document in it. Or if you like, you can easily select the entire text and change the default font to the one that you want. Microsoft word document is used for typing several types of things. The style of font allows you to express yourself and also impress the reader.

5.      Insert references easily

Many referencing styles are being used for academic writing these days. Some of the very common examples include MLA, APA, Harvard, Chicago, etc. Instead of learning the styles, you can simply choose one from the toolbar and insert the information that has to feature in the reference. Many people waste a lot of time in carving references at the end of the document.

6.      Find any word that you want

During proofreading, it becomes crucial to highlight some words and add links. Instead of going through the process of reading, you can simply give the find command by clicking Ctrl+F to reach the word that you want. Just type in the word in the search box you want, next it will simply appear on the left side of the window. The results displayed will give you all the sentences that the word has been used in, show in a chronological order.

7.      Clear all formatting at once

Documents that have excessive formatting and pictures take some time to load. The strange formatting can easily be removed if you want. Instead of fixing every error at once, simply press Ctrl+Space or click Clear All Formatting to remove the unwanted formatting. The next step is that you can start work in your own style.

Moreover, if you want to format the document, you should do it during typing. Otherwise, you will have a lot of work to do at the end of the day. Many people often remove all the text by mistake and then look for word recovery. Type like a pro and be efficient in your work.

Conclusion:

It is no wonder that Microsoft word is one of the most famous word processors around the globe. Ever since it was introduced, typing work just got better. If you want to work like a pro, make sure that you understand all of its features and keys.
