The countdown to the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2019 is just hours away, which means the newest additions to the Galaxy family are ready to make their big debut.
The event comes just a couple weeks after the company announced that the Galaxy Fold would go on sale in September (more than four months from its original launch date) after the phone had been strengthened.
Samsung’s Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note 10 and a slew of new wearables, including the refreshed Galaxy Buds takes place today, August 7 at 11 p.m. (Kenyan time)/4 p.m. EDT /1 p.m. PT, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This is the same place that they launched the Galaxy Note 9 last year.

Customarily, Samsung introduces more than just one product at Unpacked, but it’s already gotten the jump on its own press event by launching both a new tablet and a smartwatch within the past week. Nevertheless, lead analyst for Techsponential, Avi Greengart says the Aug. 7 could still offer a surprise.
According to earlier reports, Samsung’s newest flagship will have two variants being the Galaxy Note 10 (6.43″) and the bigger Galaxy Note 10+ (6.8″) – compared with the Note 9’s 6.4-inch screen. Both smartphones will have ‘Infinity-o’ hole-punched displays.
These phones will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship-grade Snapdragon 855 chip. The Note 10 will reportedly house a 3,500mAh battery while its bigger variant will house a 4,300mAh. Unfortunately for headphone jack lovers, Samsung has killed the headphone jack this time around.
Recent rumors about Galaxy Note 10 also point to the S Pen having its own camera and that the phone could have four rear cameras. Other rumors suggest the Note 10 will have physical buttons for power and volume.
Samsung believes that the Note devices are used by power users. These users not only use their phones to chat or browse social media, but also to create content or work. Keeping this context in mind, Samsung may add a couple of new features to Note 10 and Note 10 Plus that will help content creators as well as those who work on the go.
For now, there are no specific details of the Kenyan launch of the Note 10 series. But chances are the Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus will be launched in Kenya in a week or two acknowledging that Samsung brings its top phones to Kenya within days after the global launch.
