Huawei Might Integrate a Graphene Battery For P40 Pro

Huawei might upgrade P40 Pro with a 5500 mAh graphene battery according to highlights.

The phone is the successor to P30 and P30 Pro is projected to be released in 2020.

“Huawei may introduce graphene technology to the P40’s without increasing the volume and helping to speed up charging. The battery is equipped with a 50W fast charge system to recharge in only 45 minutes,” according to daily trends.

Companies are working to introduce the graphene batteries largely of their capabilities to reduce the operating temperature and cells lifespan.

Graphene comprises a sheet of carbon atoms bound together in a honeycomb Latin pattern that makes it a potential conductor of electricity and thermal energy.

The material is extremely lightweight, flexible with a large surface area which makes it highly admired for battery use.

Graphene can improve such attributes as energy density.

Chances are Huawei could be the among first companies to use the Graphene technology.

According to the Samsung Institute of Technology, using graphene ball material to make batteries will increase their capacity by 45 per cent and charging five times faster.

In 2016, Huawei unveiled new lion batteries enhanced with the graphene technology. These batteries support a higher temperature of 60 degrees than normal batteries with support up to 50 degrees.

The Huawei P40 Pro model will have a 6.5 inch OLED screen with a 120HZ refresh rate and a dual punch selfie camera and a similar waterfall look as the Mate 30 Pro.

The speculations reveal that the phone might have a five sensor camera produced with Leica on the back.

The main camera lens might have 64 megapixels with a 20-megapixel ultrawide lens. Other components are a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a dedicated macro lens and a time of flight sensor too.

If these speculations are true. This will be Hauwei’s moment of shine with the compelling devices at hand.

Originally, Samsung has dominated the market with its OLED screens. Majority of other manufacturers adopted the alternative LCD panel but,  Huawei might be a notch higher.

The 120HZ refresh rate is rare. Few companies like Asus have adopted it on their ROG phone 2 whose functionality is great.

Graphene is more stable than the usual liquid chemicals inside batteries.

With graphene, it is safe to cram more of the substance in the same space. This makes it ideal for smartphone batteries.

Many batteries and smartphone makers are looking for graphene as the next big step for the volatile power sources.

The service life of graphene batteries is 2 times that of ordinary lithium-ion battery, the base station energy storage business will bring innovation.
