Samsung recently confirmed the Galaxy Tab S6 as the world’s first 5G tablet. The Tab is a 5G model of the Galaxy Tab S6.
The tab comes with a 10.5-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) AMOLED display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor running the show, but it also contains a 5G modem.
Other features include 6GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. The tablet also supports HDR and comes with an included stylus. The new tablet is also available in Wi-Fi and LTE models.
From the look, it is absolutely an impressive device with better speakers and displays contrary to Apple’s iPads. Plus, there’s a fancy under-screen fingerprint scanner.
According to a release from Samsung, the tab will launch in Korea which will provide the worlds first 5G mobile communication to tablets.
“The Galaxy Tab S6 5G features 5G mobile communications, a thin bezel 10.5-inch super-amorphous display, AKG’s sound technology, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. Thus, it suitable for gaming as it enables massive game streaming with the real-time 4K broadcast streaming. Plus the AR content on the tab, you can enjoy multimedia content more vividly” according to Samsung news.
The Tab features a trendy design with matte metal and a chic mountain grey colour. It boasts enhanced portability with a thin thickness of 5.7mm and a light weight of 420g.
Galaxy Tab S6 5G’ is an evolved Smart S Pen, which also improves work efficiency. The S Pen attaches to the back of the tablet for charging and carrying and recognizes gestures for free control from a distance.
Like the current Tab S6, the 5G tablet will come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, while a two-camera unit will be on the rear – 13-megapixel wide and 5-megapixel ultrawide.
The Galaxy Tab S6 5G will be available in a 128GB model in mountain grey. It will support a microSD card slot allows for expansion by up to a further 1TB. It will be priced at $ 99,900 and can be purchased at three mobile retailers. This is only applicable for the Korean Market as no further information has been issued regarding its global launch.
