Sony To Lessen Game Download Speeds To Manage Internet Congestion

Sony Interactive Entertainment has opted to reduce gaming video download speeds from its Playstation Network to lessen online traffic congestion during the coronavirus pandemic.  Millions of people are working from home and due to social distancing, there are minimal options when it comes to games. Hence causing a lot of traffic video game downloads.

As businesses and consumers around the world adjust their routines amid the various COVID-19 restrictions, the internet is being used at a scale that the world has never experienced.

In the regions where demand is creating bottlenecks for customers, game software downloads at peak times will be reduced. then complete the downloads at normal fast speeds on low usage.
