QUIP is a platform for hospitals to list their unused equipment such as respirators, defibrillators, ICU beds to rent them out whenever needed.
The open-source platform aims to help hospitals to join hands in preventing further spread of the disease and proper management of those infected. We know that Nigeria will need ventilators, respirators & ICU beds.
The firm says the equipment will be made available to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as well as other state governments.
“We believe all hands must be on deck. We’ve built a national register for critical equipment,” said the firm.
Recently, LifeBank launched a Drive-thru mass testing centre in partnership with Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) which is involved in testing and diagnosis to support the Federal Ministry of Health on case detection and surveillance. LifeBank aims to scale the initiative across Lagos State in phases from NIMR’s Cancer Research Centre.
The organization also recently launched Safer Circle, a creative floor sticker with a 6-meter distance that customers can stand in to maintain appropriate social distancing. The floor stickers educate people about Coronavirus and also helps them in distancing from others by at least 2 feet (6 meters). Globally, social distancing is being used to slow the spread of disease.
