Apple to reopen several stores in the U.S and Canada this week

Apple will be reopening more than 25 stores in the U.S. and 12 in Canada to add to the nearly 100 global locations that have reopened for customers after the Nobel coronavirus outbreak.

The company seeks to serve its tons of customers who depend on their products to run their daily activities. Due to lockdowns, most people now stay apart from each other. They need the products to stay creative for some entertainment, and to stay healthy at a time when health is so front of mind.

In a letter to customers, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president for retail and people, the company said it’s “focused on limiting occupancy and giving everybody lots of room,” with a renewed emphasis on one-to-one service throughout each store. There’ll be temperature checks conducted at the door. Face coverings are also a requirement for all employees. With the exception of customers who will be given a pair if they don’t show up with one.

Apple is among the first companies that closed down on the onset of the pandemic. It closed all of its stores in mainland China. Which it was able to reopen a few weeks later as the pandemic was reined. It then closed all of its stores outside greater China until it started a gradual reopening with its Seoul, South Korea location recently.

” Our commitment is to only move forward with a reopening once we’re confident we can safely return to serving customers from our stores. We’ve continued to refine and expand our in‑store health and safety measures. Which have proven so effective in places like Greater China, where our stores have been safely open for months.”
