Safaricom has today temporarily closed some of its shops in Nairobi and Mombasa branches to allow for sanitization and fumigation purposes. The affected shops include Safaricom Shops in Nyali and Rex House both in Mombasa, as well as Thika and Lavington Mall shops.

Companies across the globe have taken the initiative to keep their businesses safe including stationing sanitization booths at the workplace. Safaricom also plans to gradually roll out the process across all its branches countrywide in a move curb the spread of COVID-19 to its staff and the customers they serve. The affected shops will reopen on Thursday 11^th June. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“We will be undertaking such measures regularly to our shops and customer-facing facilities, to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers as this remains our topmost priority even as we continue to help the country in managing the Covid19 crisis,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom.

Customers can continue accessing all our services from our other nearby shops, as well as through our self-service channels which include; Zuri Chatbot, MySafaricom App and our Interactive Voice Biometric System. Our customer care lines 100 and 200 are also available to all customers.
