Last week, I approached a good friend of mine to get some advice regarding an idea I was formulating for a new app. With his experience in software development, I was keen to know what he thought was the best way to proceed with building my app precisely like I wanted it to be.

Here is what you’ll need to do:

# 1 – Go to the Builder Studio

From the Builder.ai website, you’ll need to select the Builder Studio tool to begin designing your food delivery app. Builder Studio doesn’t require a signup or any purchase at the start, and all options are free to explore until you are ready to complete your order and purchase the final package. The first step is to select the kind of app you are trying to make. This leads to the next phase of the design process.

# 2 – Select an App Concept

This is the second step that you must complete to begin building your food delivery app. On the Builder Studio screen, there are options available for you to choose. You can either select a similar app that fits in well with your concept and idea. You can also select a problem statement that matches the problem or issue you are trying to address with your apps. And you can view the kinds of apps other customers are trying to design and choose one from those.

#3 – Select Features

After selecting the kind of app you want to create, which in my case was a food delivery app, you can then choose the features you want to include in your app. Features are grouped into categories, so it is easier to see what you want. From this screen, you can select all the functionality you would like to add to your app. The additional benefit is that the estimated cost and time to deliver are displayed alongside each feature option to get a clear idea of what you will be investing.

#4 – Plan Your Delivery

Once your app concept is designed, and all the features you want are selected, you can finalize your order. On the next screen, you will be able to see various options regarding the stages you wish to include in your development processes, such as adding a prototype before finalization and other options. You will also be able to select the speed of development ranging from relaxed to speedy, with estimated delivery times displayed for each option. You can also choose add-on services offered by Builder.ai, such as software protection and cloud support.

# 5 – Start Building!

After you have selected all the deliverable and development milestones for your project, you can finalize your order and begin developing your project. You will be charged weekly according to a predetermined installment plan based on your selected options and services. The platform also states that if the development goes faster than expected, you will be charged less in the end too!
