Gozem acquires Delivroum, Togo’s top food delivery app

Gozem, West Africa’s Super App has acquired Delivroum, the top food delivery app in Togo to bolster Gozem’s transportation network with the breadth of Delivroum’s restaurant network, creating an unparalleled food delivery platform in Togo.

Founded in 2018 in Lomé, Delivroum was the first dedicated food delivery app in the West African country and quickly became the country’s leading food delivery app.

Also founded in 2018, Gozem initially focused on transportation via motorcycles, tuk-tuks, and car taxis as the first ride-hailing app in Togo, but has since expanded to offer a variety of services, including delivery & logistics, in a single, multi-vertical Super App.

Thanks to the Delivroum acquisition, Gozem will broaden its delivery offerings in Togo, to add meal delivery to a bundle of services that includes delivery of groceries, cooking gas bottles, and various other e-commerce items.

In the near term, Delivroum operations will not be impacted and Delivroum customers can keep ordering meals via the Delivroum app as usual. But beginning today, the Delivroum team will join Gozem’s delivery department in its office in the Togolese capital. And over the medium term, Delivroum’s operations and brand will be integrated into a new, standalone
