Roam Africa shuts down BrighterMonday Tanzania, EverythingDar & Cheki

ROAM Africa, is calling it a day in Tanzania in a move to cut operational costs, focus on its major markets, and grow to profitability, as the Ringier-owned operation tries to make sense of marketplace business in Africa.

ROAM Africa announced it has ”decided to discontinue its local operations in Tanzania, namely BrighterMonday Tanzania, EverythingDar, and Cheki Tanzania. Employers and Jobseekers can continue to benefit from our online services, now in a different way.”

The firm added that the BrighterMonday Tanzania website will remain operational and accessible, in a limited capacity up until the 30th of November 2020. Users will still be able to perform free basic functions on the website, such as posting a listing and applying for jobs.
