Airline caterer Nas Servair partners Jumia Food for home delivery services

Jumia Food has partnered with Africa’s largest airline caterers, NAS Servair, to provide healthy and affordable meals to consumers in Nairobi for as low as Ksh 200 including delivery fee under the new Bei Poa Kitchen initiative.

“We are excited to launch Bei Poa Kitchen with our partner Nas Servair which will provide low cost online meals to consumers with the aim of bringing affordable convenience to the masses. Home food delivery from restaurants is growing fast, as more consumers are choosing to order from home or the office and want to avoid crowds,” said Shreenal Ruparelia, Jumia Food Chief Commercial Officer adding that mass-catering and relevant & affordable choices, will make Jumia Food an everyday service for millions of Kenyans over time.

Consumers wishing to order their meals from Bei Poa kitchen on Jumia Food will have to pre-order before 6PM and get it delivered at lunch time the next day.

“Jumia is the leading eCommerce leader in Africa while Nas Servair is top airline caterer in Africa, and this partnership is a major gateway to providing world-class-local Kenyan meals to consumers at an affordable and safe way,” said Stephane Lopez, Nas Servair General Manager.

 A Jumia Food Index report released last year showed that Kenyans spent Kes 2000 on average for a meal on Jumia Food, while the least expensive meals cost as low as Kes 200.

The report added that Nairobi is the leading city across Africa for online food delivery, followed by Casablanca (Morocco), Lagos (Nigeria) Kampala (Uganda) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast) due to the fact that Kenya leads in mobile internet penetration with the largest segment of consumers being urban, young and tech-savvy people between 25 & 34 years.

Jumia Food is present in Nairobi, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa, and partners with close to 1000 restaurants across Kenya.
