How do I easily transfer contacts from Android to Android?

Having two phones to separate personal life from work is a trend. You might have seen people have two Android phones for this very purpose, and you might also be wondering if they’re synced to their contacts. Having multiple phones doesn’t mean having multiple contact lists. Luckily, Android phones have multiple ways to synchronize and transfer contacts across different devices.

How do I easily transfer contacts from Android to Android?

You might have seen people have two Android phones for this very purpose, and you might also be wondering if they’re synced to their contacts. Having multiple phones doesn’t mean having multiple contact lists. Luckily, Android phones have multiple ways to synchronize and transfer contacts across different devices.

We’re going to discuss some of the easiest and most effective ways to transfer contacts from Android to Android:

Transfer contacts from Android to Android via Google Account and Sync

  • Go to Settings for your source device
  • Select Google from the Account section
  • On the Google Account screen, tap the Gmail account to sync it.
  • Touch the contact sync option
  • On the destination device, first, you need to add the same Google account; then go to Settings > Account > Google and select Contacts from Google Backups.
  • Click Sync Now and the contacts will be transferred to the destination (new) device.

Transfer contacts from Android to Android via VCF file

  • Launch your Android phone and start the Contacts
  • Click on the icon of the menu and visit Import/Export > Export to Storage.
  • Click the Export button to create a VCF file and save it to your phone.
  • Transfer this VCF file to another Android device using one of the methods, e-mail attachment, Bluetooth, USB cable, etc.
  • When the VCF file is received on the destination device, open it, and you’ll get a pop-up screen asking you to import your contacts.
  • Click OK, and the contacts will be moved to the device.

Transfer contacts from Android to Android using the Bluetooth device function

  • Enable the Bluetooth option for both devices.
  • Take your Android phone and start the Contacts
  • Click the menu button (three lines or dots) and select Import/Export > Share contacts.
  • Select the contacts you want to transfer to another device. You can check Select All to transfer the list of all contacts.
  • Click the Share Contacts option on your source device.
  • It prompts a screen that shows a different way of sharing; Choose a Bluetooth
  • Allow the device to scan the nearby devices, and when the destination device is detected, tap the device to pair successfully, and the transfer will start automatically.

Transfer contacts from Android to Android using your SIM card

  • Open the “Contacts” app. To open “Menu or Settings” in the upper right corner, tap the three vertical dots.
  • From the list of options, click “Manage Contacts” and then select “Import/Export Contacts.”
  • Click “Export Contacts” and then select “SIM card.”
  • Wait until the copy process is over.
  • Remove the SIM card from the slot after copying has been completed. Insert it on the other Android device
  • Go to “Menu > Manage Contacts > Import/Export Contacts” Then click on the “Import SIM Card” button.
