How to change your Android keyboard
- Click the Google Play Store app to open it. Browse for the “keyboard” or related search term, and select the keyboard app you want by clicking on it.
- After you’ve decided which keyboard app you want to use, tap “Install.”
- When the download is complete, tap “Open” to launch your new keyboard app. Follow the instructions, if any, to complete the installation.
- Open the Settings app for your Android mobile device. If you’re still not sure where and how to find it, go to your Home screen and browse the app menu till you locate “Settings,” represented by an icon that looks like a gear.
- Tap “General Management” in the Settings menu.
- Tap the “Language and input” button.
- Tap the default keyboard.
- Click the name of the keyboard app you want to use.
