Losing your academic certificates (KCPE and KCSE) can make it difficult to find a job in Kenya.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has simplified the process of obtaining the document by creating a portal that allows for online applications.

The Query Management Information System (QMIS) is located on the KNEC website and is an electronic platform for online submission and processing of examination-related queries such as Certification of Examination Results for candidates who have lost their certificates, Confirmation of Examination Results, and Equation of Foreign Qualifications.

A computer or mobile phone with internet access is required for a client.

• If you are a new user, you will be prompted to register.

• Press the register button.

• Fill in the above information as needed, then click the Register button.

• Your log-in information will be emailed to you.

How to Get a New KCPE/KCSE Certificate

• To navigate to the portal, you can consult the User Manual.
• Documents that you must have:

       A copy of the certificate(s) or result slip(s).

       A sworn legal affidavit proving the applicant’s identity Employer’s letter of recommendation to KNEC

       Police Abstract

    Copy of Identification Card [ID]/Passport or Birth Certificate in Abbreviated Form

• At this point, the User can identify the requirements relevant to his query and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
• They then make the amount specified by the system’s prompt payment.
• M-Pesa is used to make payments.
• Upon successful processing of the query, KNEC notifies the Client via email or phone number that their processed document is ready for collection (s).
• A client is required to provide original copies of the documents they attached during the application process at the point of collection.
• You can check the status of your certificate’s processing using the Query Management Information System (QMIS).
• Customers seeking KNEC online services should use the credible address of QMIS via https://qmis.knec.ac.ke to avoid falling victim to cyber fraudsters claiming to offer KNEC services.
